Arsenal will accelerate their attempts to get players out the door as they close in on the £130million triple signing of Cristhian Mosquera, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres.
Deals for Madueke and Mosquera are more advanced than the one for Gyokeres, but the Gunners hope to wrap up moves for all three this week.
A £52million package has been agreed with Chelsea for Madueke, while Mosquera’s move is set to be worth around £16m.
Both players are undergoing medicals this week before putting pen to paper on long-term contracts.
Madueke is due a break after playing at the Club World Cup, however Mosquera is set to be part of Arsenal’s tour to Singapore and Hong Kong this month.
Arsenal depart for Singapore on Saturday and want to have Gyokeres on the flight out there.
Talks with Sporting are at an advanced stage over a deal worth an initial €63.5m (£54.86m), with a further €10m (£8.64m) in add-ons. Gyokeres has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal.
The trio’s arrival could set Arsenal back around about £130m, when add-ons are included, and the club will soon turn their attention to getting players out the door.
Albert Sambi Lokonga spent last season on loan at Sevilla and is up for sale.
Arsenal have taken up the option to extend Lokonga’s contract by a further year as otherwise he could have left for free last month.
Lokonga confirmed in an interview with Standard Sport at the start of this summer how he is open to a new challenge.
Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson, who also spent last season out on loan, can leave this summer if suitable offers arrive.
Nelson has previously been of interest to Crystal Palace, which could prove useful given Arsenal’s interest in Eberechi Eze.
Karl Hein spent last season on loan at La Liga side Real Valladolid and it is unlikely he will want to be third-choice for Arsenal.
The Gunners have signed Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea for £5m, who will be David Raya’s backup this season.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is another player who could depart Emirates Stadium. He has just one year left on his contract and is not in talks over fresh terms.
Zinchenko was attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund in January, but the left-back may find more clubs want him if he leaves as a free agent in a year’s time.
Clubs in Italy hold a long-term interest in Jakub Kiwior and it remains to be seen how strong Arsenal’s resolve would be if a sizeable bid came in for the defender.
Kiwior excelled towards the back end of last season in the absence of the injured Gabriel and he may also want more first-team action.
Leandro Trossard has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce and Arsenal might be tempted to cash in on a player that will turn 31 years old in December.
