Arsenal team news ahead of Liverpool clash as Mesut Ozil update issued

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool this week.

The Reds travel south to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening, as they bid to secure a further three points in a record-breaking campaign.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have already won the title, but will be keen to pick up eight more points from their final three matches to break Manchester City’s points record in the Premier League era.

While Liverpool’s final league position is in the bag, Arsenal still have hopes of qualifying for Europe.

The Gunners are ninth and five points adrift of sixth-placed Wolves with three league fixtures left to play.

Mikel Arteta will be without a number of key players for the visit of Liverpool, but no further injuries have arose since the defeat to Tottenham at the weekend, according to a statement released on the club's website.

Calum Chambers (knee), Bernd Leno (knee), Pablo Mari (ankle) and Gabriel Martinelli (knee) will not be available due to long-term injuries, while Eddie Nketiah remains suspended following his red card against Leicester earlier this month.

Arsenal have also confirmed that Mesut Ozil will be assessed ahead of the clash against the Reds, with the German suffering from a sore back.

Ozil has not played for the Gunners since the Premier League resumed last month, with his last appearance coming against West Ham in March.
