Arsenal target responds to Gunners' transfer interest in him

Arsenal transfer target Ryan Fraser has admitted he has found the speculation linking him to the north London club distracting.

The Gunners want to strengthen their attack this summer ahead of the new season, what with Danny Welbeck's contract set to expire.

Fraser is one of the wide forward's on their wishlist alongside Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, who Arsenal boss Unai Emery has been an admirer of for some time.

The Bournemouth forward has kept his cards close to his chest in regards to what he plans to do in the summer, but has admitted he has found the growing Arsenal speculation distracting.

"Maybe it hasn't helped. Subconsciously, you might think about it. I'm just trying to get on with my work. Every player says that," Fraser told BBC Sport.

"At the same time, I think the best thing I can do is play well on the pitch. There's no point in stuff coming out and then I start to have bad games."

Arsenal won't have a great deal of cash to play with this summer meaning Emery will have to be smart with the transfers he does make.

The Spaniard was left frustrated in January when he was only able to bring in Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez on loan.
