Arsenal target Rangers academy standout Jack Wylie as Gunners send top scout on spying mission

Arsenal are leading the chase for Rangers youngster Jack Wylie.

The Gunners have been monitoring the 15-year-old full-back and have had him watched regularly over the past few months. The Premier League giants even sent their chief youth spy Lee Herron to Spain to keep tabs on the talented teenager as he featured for Scotland’s Under-16s in a friendly clash with Denmark last month.

Wylie isn’t eligible to sign his professional forms until he turns 16 in January. Gers were forced to accept a £350,000 bid from Aston Villa earlier this year after the English outfit moved to pinch wonderkid Rory Wilson from their academy.

Clubs south of the border have become increasingly keen on landing stars north of the border due to ongoing uncertainty over securing non-EU stars in the wake of Brexit.
