Arsenal target offers clear update on his future as Gunners eye new winger in summer window

Arsenal target Leandro Trossard says he may have played his last game for his current club Genk.

As football.london revealed in February, the Gunners have a long-standing interest in Trossard and first made contact with his representatives in November.

The Belgian wide forward remains an option that is under consideration as Arsenal target reinforcements on the flanks, though Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser and Ajax's David Neres are believed to be ahead of Trossard on the Gunners' wishlist.

Genk would want around £20m to sell their star forward, whose 11 league goals were crucial in their fourth Belgian title victory, which was confirmed in a 1-1 draw with Anderlecht on Thursday.

Fraser, Sarr and Zaha: Every player linked with Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window

Trossard certainly intends to enjoy his moment of glory but knows that he may not be around at Genk for much longer.

"Sunday's game against Standard Liege might be my last one in a Genk shirt," he said.

"First, however, I'm going to party. I don't know where we'll celebrate, but I won't be seeing my bed before the morning."

Trossard is viewed within the Arsenal hierarchy as a potential replacement for Danny Welbeck, who will be allowed to leave on a free transfer on the expiry of his contract.

The 24-year-old, Genk's club captain, predominantly plays off the left flank but has also featured as a central striker and in a withdrawn role.

The Arsenal youth revolution Unai Emery must spearhead or lose his brightest generation
