James Maddison has described Harry Kane as the "best centre forward" in world football at the moment after the England captain netted twice in his country's 4-0 win over Ukraine.
Kane was on target for the second successive game as the Three Lions booked their semi-final clash with Denmark on Wednesday evening.
The 27-year-old opened the scoring with a fine finish after an excellent Raheem Sterling pass, before doubling his tally in the second-half, heading in from a superb Luke Shaw delivery.
The Tottenham star was substituted late on, so could not grab a hat-trick, but will be delighted to return to form after some criticism earlier on in the European Championships.
Kane was heavily criticised for some of his performances in the group stages, with the Spurs talisman struggling to get into the opening three matches.
However, he has answered his critics in emphatic style - and is now England's joint top scorer at the tournament, alongside Sterling with three goals.
Maddison, who currently plays for Leicester City but has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, sent a clear message to all of Kane's doubters, with the playmaker calling him the best in the world at what he does.

His tweet read: "Harry Kane… best centre forward in World football for me.
"People tried to talk because he didn’t score for a couple of games but goes back to that old saying, form is temporary but class is permanent."
Kane spoke to the media after the game and spoke about what a relief it was for him to grab a goal against Ukraine after under four minutes of play.
“It’s always nice as a striker to score early in the game. It’s always a great feeling helping your team," he said to BBC Sport.
"There was a lot of talk around me and my performances, but I’m ready for the next game and try to lead this team to hopefully a European final.”
