Arsenal supporters will love what Mikel Arteta did to Marquinhos in Dubai training session

Arsenal's preparations for the return of Premier League football later this month have continued as Mikel Arteta's side prepare to face AC Milan in the Dubai Super Cup next week.

The Gunners eased to victory against Ligue 1 side Lyon on Thursday afternoon in their first game of two in the Middle east. Goals from Gabriel Magalhaes, Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira saw Arteta's men surpass Alexandre Lacazette and co at the Al-Maktoum Stadium.

Arsenal round off their mid-season trip to Dubai this week against Italian giants AC Milan on Tuesday (2pm) before taking on Juventus on Saturday evening at the Emirates Stadium.

The return of a number of World Cup stars have begun to filter into Arteta's crop of players in Dubai with Ben White and Thomas Partey joining up with their club teammates today. Following England's 2-1 loss to France last night, Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale will divert their attention back to the Gunners' Premier League title race.

Currently, Arteta and his coaching staff are putting a number of the first team figures through their paces alongside a number of academy players in their training base. Today, in a video shared by HaytersTV, Arteta showed he still has the quality that saw him make over 500 career appearances whilst taking part in a rondo.

With Marquinhos, Gabriel and Rob Holding attempting to keep the ball, Arteta and defender Cedric attempted to dispossess the trio and the Gunners boss did just that.

The Brazilian wonderkid lofted the ball over Arteta but the 40-year-old managed to snatch Marquinhos' pass before it reached Holding.
