Arsenal supporters noticed what happened when Alex Iwobi started for Everton against West Ham

Arsenal supporters have a keen eye on this afternoon's Premier League encounter between Everton and West Ham United.

Victory for the Hammers would see them move level on points with the Gunners in the table.

Meanwhile, there are a couple of ex-Arsenal players in the home team's starting line-up.

Theo Walcott makes only his second start of the season across all competitions, while Alex Iwobi has also been included right from the off by Toffees boss Marco Silva.

And it's the Nigeria international who as caught the eye of some Arsenal fans on social media.

Not because he's scored or created a goal, but mainly because of his starting position.

Usually deployed on the left-wing, Iwobi began the clash against the Hammers in his more favoured no.10 role and almost claimed an assist for Richarlison after 22 minutes.

Interestingly, Iwobi said in the summer that playing centrally is his preference.

"I’m happy to play anywhere, I will play wherever I’m told to play,” Iwobi told Goal. " Growing up I’ve been playing as an attacking midfielder, more central in the midfield.

"I wouldn’t say if I’m most comfortable there but that’s where I grew up playing.

"I’ve always seen myself as a midfielder but wherever I’m being told to play in the middle or somewhere, I will always give my best."

It's been a bright start for Everton, who began the day in the bottom three, and took the lead through Bernard but Iwobi has been a popular topic for some Arsenal fans on Twitter.
