Arsenal fans think they were right about Mesut Ozil's tweet after Emery's decision vs Vitoria

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil was active on social media on Wednesday.

It's four games since the 31-year-old was last involved in a Gunners game. That came in the 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup last month, although he didn't see out the full 90 minutes as he was replaced midway through the second half.

With the north London outfit back in action tonight against Vitoria in the Europa League, all eyes were on if Ozil would arrive at the Emirates Stadium as part of the matchday squad or as a spectator.

But Unai Emery has made his decision to leave the playmaker out of the squad entirely, meaning his exile now stretches into a fifth game in succession.

Ozil previously posted an image of himself laughing during a training session with a message which reads: "You make me laugh."

Those simple four words prompted a huge reaction from some Gunners supporters at the time, with the theory that Ozil was aiming a cryptic dig at Emery.
