Arsenal suffer double injury blow ahead of match vs Southampton

Arsenal host Southampton at the Emirates Stadium this Saturday.

And they will be keen to get back to winning ways after a run of four games without victory prior to the international break.

The Gunners are eight points adrift of the top four in the Premier League as a result of their poor form and head coach Unai Emery is coming under increasing pressure from the fans.

Arsenal are desperate for three points, and a match against a struggling side, just one point off the bottom of the table, could be just what they need.

However, it looks like they will go into the game without two players.

Dani Ceballos has not played since the Europa League clash with Vitoria on November 6, having picked up a hamstring injury and he will miss the game against Saints.

Not only that, but Arsenal have confirmed that the Spain international will be out of action until December, saying he will "return to training in mid-December".

Ceballos could be joined on the sidelines by full-back Sead Kolasinac.

Kolasinac picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with Bosnia & Herzegovina. He returned to London Colney this week with tightness in his left hamstring and is being assessed ahead of the clash with Southampton.

Other than those two, Emery has a clean bill of health heading into the match.
