Arsenal stars making thousands by flogging video messages to fans and businesses

Four stars at Premier League leaders Arsenal are netting the cash by flogging video messages to fans.

Brazilian Gabriel Jesus, 25 – the Gunners’ £45million striker on a reported £265,000 a week – gets £287 a throw and a mighty £8,200 for recorded business messages. Italy star Jorginho, 31, makes £205 for video greetings and £12,300 for corporate messages, while Swiss midfield pal Granit Xhaka, 30, gets £98 and £8,200 for the same packages.

They are joined on internet platform Cameo by Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, 29. He offers £246 video clips, while business videos cost £4,100. In one, he tells a wannabe star: “You have to be ready to wake every day, not to give anything for free, learn from your coaches, teachers, parents and also to respect. Always believe in yourself.”

Partey has had two reviews - both five stars. One said: “Very heartfelt... genuinely seems like he cares.”

A soccer insider said: “There was a time fans would write to clubs and get a personalised message free. That feels like a more innocent time.

"To be fair, Partey is giving fans heartfelt congratulations and in some cases even advice.”

A raft of sports stars, TV celebs and musicians sell messages on Cameo, which takes 25% commission.

Arsenal said the videos were a private agreement between players and Cameo.

A spokesman said players regularly record messages of support and sign club letters sent to fans hit by illness or difficult circumstances.
