Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe handed big FIFA 21 upgrades

Arsenal trio Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe have been given upgrades on FIFA 21 in the latest update to the games' player database.

EA SPORTS periodically release updates to the FIFA 21 player database, sometimes referred to as a server update, with players often given upgrades and downgrades depending on real-life form, with players also given transfers, contract changes, position changes and more to make the game as realistic as possible.

In the latest update, which is now available to download on Xbox, PlayStation and PC as of January 22, three of the Gunners most promising wonderkids have been upgraded based on their brilliant recent performances, with Saka, Martinelli and Smith Rowe all seeing their ratings boosted.

Take a look below as we take you through all the changes to the Arsenal squad on FIFA 21 as of the latest database update, which is available to download now on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Bukayo Saka - Upgrade

Saka's FIFA 21 profile has been changed quite significantly, with the youngster's preferred positions on the game changed around to reflect his recent performances.

His 1st preferred position has been changed from left wing-back (LWB) to right midfield (RM), with his 2nd preferred position now LWB and his 3rd preferred position now left-back (LB).

But it's not just his position that's changed, because EA SPORTS have also boosted his overall rating from 76 to 77 overall, putting him higher than Rob Holding (76), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (76) and Cedric (76).

Gabriel Martinelli - Upgrade

Martinelli's profile has also been adjusted, with the Brazilian's overall potential being increased from 85 to 86 overall.

To put that into context, this means Martinelli could become as good as players like Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba, Roberto Firmino and Bernardo Silva, on FIFA 21.

Emile Smith Rowe - Upgrade

Smith Rowe is the Arsenal youngster to receieve the biggest overall upgrade, probably due to his already low rating compared to the rest of his teammates.

The midfielder's short passing (71-76), dribbling (76-77), long passing (55-61), ball control (74-77), reactions (68-70), stamina (61-68), positioning (70-72) and composure (65-68) have all been given significant boosts.

This has resulted in the youngster's overall rating being upgraded from 71 to 73, bringing him a bit closer to players like Eddie Nketiah (74), Calum Chambers (75), and above Reiss Nelson (72) and Joe Willock (72).
