Arsenal starlet Emile Smith Rowe answers Roy Keane demand after what happened vs Watford

Emile Smith Rowe is currently thriving for Arsenal.

The England Under-21 international has been one of the first names on Mikel Arteta's teamsheet since starring in the 3-1 win over Chelsea back in December of last year.

Smith Rowe has continued to perform this season, netting the only goal of the game on Sunday afternoon as the Gunners defeated Watford 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

It was the third Premier League game in a row that he has scored in and his seventh goal contribution across all competitions already this term, having provided five goals and two assists for Arteta's side.

The youngster's effort against the Hornets means Arsenal are unbeaten in their last eight league outings, winning six and drawing two to help them climb the table from 20th to 5th going into the ensuing international break.

Smith Rowe's record in the final third this season has begun to answer some of his critics, with the likes of Manchester United icon Roy Keane previously claiming that he needs to improve in front of goal in order to consistently play for the Gunners.

“I always go back to it,” Keane said back in August. “What he needs to improve on is his end product.

“In terms of his assists and goals. He is definitely one for the future. It’s just a case of producing week in and week on when you are at a big club like Arsenal.”

The Hale End academy graduate has now received his first call-up for England, replacing the injured Marcus Rashford and James Ward-Prowse for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Albania.
