Arsenal star told he has 'none of the qualities' Unai Emery is looking for to succeed

David Luiz embodies none of the qualities Unai Emery is looking for at Arsenal, says Tony Cascarino.

The former Chelsea man has made a poor start in north London, and was once again error-prone as Arsenal threw away two points against Watford on the weekend.

The Gunners were in command in the first half of the match at Vicarage Road and stormed into a two-goal lead before things went catastrophically wrong.

Sokratis made a mistake that directly lead to a goal before Luiz brought down Roberto Pereyra in the box to concede a penalty, which the Argentine slotted away.

Speaking about Arsenal's defensive mishaps Cascarino has hit out at the Gunners' decision to sign Luiz from Chelsea this summer, saying he has no "leadership qualities".

"I was shocked by what I saw from Arsenal - I just can't understand how a side with top four aspirations can play like that in a second half and expect to win," Cascarino told The Times.

"Why is Unai Emery so content to allow his side to be so open? Rather than shut the game down they seemed to encourage Watford's second half comeback.

" Arsenal had no control, no composure.

"They needed to sign a defender, someone who is cool under pressure and has leadership qualities - and spent £8million on David Luiz, a player who has never embodied any of those qualities."
