Arsenal star Rob Holding blasts UFC president Dana White's bizarre football claim

Arsenal star Rob Holding, among several other footballers, has provided his thoughts on Dana White's claim that football is the "least talented" sport in the world. The UFC president went on a scathing rant about how easy it would be to play football and it has caused quite the stir especially among those who are professionals.

With the World Cup in Qatar holding all the limelight currently from a sporting perspective a viral clip has re-emerged of White's thoughts on football stating that he believes there's a "reason that three-year-olds" play it.

In a podcast from several years ago that has since resurfaced, White goes on a one-minute long rant about the beautiful game. "I'm not a big hockey fan, but I respect how talented you have to be to play hockey. Soccer? Whole other ball game. Can’t stand soccer, I think that it’s the least talented sport on earth. There’s a reason three-year-olds can play soccer ok? You run around and kick a ball."

"'You wouldn’t say that if you were in Brazil.' Dude, I’d say this in any country ever. When you’re playing a game where the net is this big right, and the score is 3-1, are you s**ting me right now? Do you know how untalented you have to be to score three points when the net is this big?"

The controversial comments from the 53-year-old have not gone down well with fans of the sport, but perhaps even less so with those who play professionally.

Former Bolton Wanderers defender David Wheater, Watford star Christian Kabasele and ex-Liverpool man Jose Enrique have all said something in response while even British tennis legend Andy Murray has given his thoughts on White's football verdict.

Best of all though, Arsenal's Rob Holding has provided a highly articulate and smart response to White, writing on Instagram: "Least talented sport. You think of how long other sports, involving a ball, are in control/contact with the ball.

"In baseball a pitcher holds the ball with their hand and controls which type of spin and speed they use as they throw, same with a QB and a basketballer when they pass or shoot. A footballer has less then a second of contact with a ball to make it go a certain way, and oh yeah, that’s with their foot."
