One member of Unai Emery's Arsenal squad is edging towards a Premier League suspension after picking up four yellow cards so far this season.
Any player who earns five yellow cards in the first 19 games of the Premier League season will serve a one-match suspension, with a two game suspension following if they pick up 10 bookings before their team's 32nd fixture of the season.
Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka is currently sailing close to the wind with only one yellow card between him and suspension after the first eight games of the season.
Xhaka's combative style has seen him booked against Newcastle, Spurs, Aston Villa and Manchester United.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Matteo Guendouzi, Bernd Leno and David Luiz all have a little more breathing room than their captain, with two yellow cards each to their names.
With the cut-off point for the next round of bookings coming on December 31, it looks likely that Xhaka will be missing at least one game due to suspension in the coming two months.
The Gunners have Premier League fixtures against the likes of Crystal Palace, Wolves, Leicester City and Southampton all coming before the busy festive period begins, as well as the Carabao Cup tie against Liverpool at the end of this month.
