Mesut Ozil has been left out of Arsenal's squad for the Premier League trip to West Ham this afternoon.
Standard Sport understands that the German midfielder is not injured, and his omission is tactical.
Ozil has not featured for the Gunners since being substituted at half-time in the 1-1 draw at Brighton on Boxing Day. The playmaker had been nursing a knee injury but was confirmed to be back in full training this week.
It is the second time this season that Ozil has been left out of the Gunners squad despite being fit to play, with Unai Emery dropping the club's highest earner for "tactical" reasons in the Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham.
