Arsenal star Kieran Tierney's Euros fitness sweat ahead of squad deadline

Kieran Tierney faces a sweat to be fit for the European Championships, with Scotland boss Stevie Clarke given until June 1 to submit his squad to UEFA.

Squads for the tournament are likely to be 25 of 26, an increase of three on previous competitions.

Former Celtic favourite Tierney was substituted at half-time with ligament damage during Arsenal's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, April 3, and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the 23-year-old "is out probably for the season."

UEFA have set a deadline of 11pm on June 1 for squads to be finalised.

Scotland have pre-tournament friendlies against Netherlands on June 2 and Luxembourg on June 6, where Clarke can assess what he has to work with.
