Arsenal star Alex Iwobi's hilarious reaction when told a rare Mohamed Elneny stat

Alex Iwobi has been teammates with Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny for over three years now, but his knowledge of the midfielder isn't great.

The Egypt international was a January 2016 signing from Basel and has gone on to make over 80 appearances for the north London outfit.

Most of which have probably been alongside Iwobi.

Arsenal handed massive injury boost as two key stars return to training ahead of Newcastle clash

Whilst Elneny's time at the Emirates Stadium hasn't been all that memorable, one of his two goals for the club did come in the Camp Nou in a Champions League tie away at Barcelona a few months after his arrival.

It's possible that Iwobi remembers that excellent strike as that's the game he announced himself on the scene and was one of the first Arsenal players to celebrate with the midfielder.

However, the attacking midfielder didn't remember Elneny's second goal for the Gunners which was also in Europe but in an Europa League group phase fixture against BATE Borisov last season.

In a video clip uploaded on the club's Youtube account , the Nigeria international alongside Ainsley Maitland-Niles are naming the Arsenal players who scored at least one goal in the 2017/2018 campaign.

The former picks out Elneny, much to the surprise of Iwobi.

In fact, Iwobi's reaction - which you can see from around the 2.00 minute mark right here - is absolutely hilarious as he responds by saying "Oh he scored? When did he score?"

A possible excuse for Iwobi is that he didn't feature in that 6-0 win at the Emirates, while Maitland-Niles played the full 90 minutes and hasn't forgotten such a rare moment.
