Arsenal reportedly face more competition in their pursuit of Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard this summer.
The Gunners have been linked to the Frenchman in the past, with rumours first rearing their head more than a year ago, with Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his attacking options following a disappointing 2020/21 campaign.
They already face reported competition in order to sign him from Premier League rivals Leicester City and Serie A giants AC Milan.
However, there is now a new name in the race with Inter Milan also apparently keen to make a move, according to Metropolitan Magazine.
The news will be a big blow to the Gunners, who could be at a disadvantage with the lack of European football heading into next season.
Inter head into the UEFA Champions League as the reigning Serie A champions, whilst city rivals Milan have also secured their place back at Europe’s top table.
Meanwhile, Leicester have managed to secure a second consecutive season in the UEFA Europa League.
It remains to be seen whether Inter do pursue a move this summer with Simone Inzaghi having been appointed as the club’s new manager.
He replaces Antonio Conte, who departed the San Siro after leading the club to the Serie A title.
Edouard looks certainly likely to leave Celtic this summer though with the striker now having only a year left on his contract with the Scottish giants.
The 22-year-old enjoyed another profitable season with the Hoops, having scored 22 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions.
He was also in recent action for France’s under-21 side as they fell to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the U21 European Championships.
