Arsenal supporters should brace themselves for a transfer announcement in the coming hours.
If reports are to be true.
This week has been full of reasons for Gunners supporters to get excited about Unai Emery's fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
Ahead of deadline day the north London outfit are prioritising a centre-back following the departure of Laurent Koscielny to Bordeaux and have been linked with moves for Dayot Upamecano, David Luiz and Daniele Rugani.
However, there is belief at the Emirates Stadium that a deal for Kieran Tierney can also be done.
Football.london reported earlier in the day that the north London outfit are expected to make a third and final bid for the Celtic left-back before the closure of the Premier League transfer window on Thursday.
And it would seem that a transfer is imminent.
As revealed by the Scottish Sun, Tierney was spotted with his agent, Allan Preston, at Edinburgh Airport for a flight to London.
Furthermore, the same publication and Sky Sports News have revealed that Arsenal have finally agreed a fee with the Hoops and the Scotland international is on his way to the capital for a medical.
Despite not featuring at all for Celtic in pre-season, head coach Neil Lennon has reassured Arsenal fans about the left-back's injury status amid reports he could be out of action for up to eight weeks.
"I know these deals can get done at a minute to twelve," he said. "I'd be surprised if there wasn't another offer for Kieran, but delighted.
"He'll be fit in a week or two. He still has some adductor pain, but I think the pubic problem is starting to settle and he’s over the double hernia."
And it would appear that Celtic have already lined up a replacement for Tierney.
