Arsenal young star confirms injury blow that will keep him out of action for two months

Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun has confirmed that he will be ruled out after picking up an ankle injury.

The striker has been in fine form for the Arsenal Under-23s this season, scoring seven goals and creating another four in just nine games in the Premier League 2.

The 18-year-old is yet to make a competitive appearance for the first team, but was on the bench during the Gunners' 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup in September.

The striker has confirmed that he will be out injury after rolling his ankle in a training session last week, causing him to miss the 3-1 win over Spurs Under-23s on Friday.

Balogun reportedly had a scan on his injured ankle at the weekend, with the assessment revealing that he will require six to eight weeks out to recover.

The Arsenal youngster took to social media to confirm that he will be out injured, but has vowed to work his hardest in a bid to recover soon.

Balogun has previously earned recognition for his comparisons to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

"I am the sort of striker that likes to play on the shoulder of the last defender and make runs behind them, similar to the way that Aubameyang plays," Balogun said last season in an interview with Arsenal.com .

And it did not go unnoticed by the Gabon international, who gave him his seal of approval.
