Arsenal completed their summer transfer window spending with the dramatic signing of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
The Gunners were desperate to add a new central midfielder before the transfer deadline with Partey the number one target throughout the window.
Despite a failure to land Houssem Aouar from Lyon, the Gunners agreed to activate Partey's £45million release clause on Monday, with the Ghana international jetting to London to complete his move.
Partey's arrival was Arsenal's sixth major signing of the window in total, with Arteta strengthening his squad in several key areas.
Willian arrived on a free transfer early in the window, after his contract at Chelsea expired at the end of last season, whilst centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes was signed from Lille to bolster Arsenal's backline.
Dani Ceballos re-signed on another season-long loan deal from Real Madrid, whilst Pablo Mari and Cedric both signed permanent deals after initially joining on loans in January.
Goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson was snapped up from French club Dijon after Emiliano Martinez was sold to Aston Villa in a deal that could reach £20million with add-ons.
Martinez's departure was the only permanent sale Arsenal completed in the window, with several others leaving on loans or free transfers.
Konstantinos Mavropanos joined Stuttgart on a short-term deal, whilst Henrikh Mkhitaryan completed a free move to Roma.
Meanwhile, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira joined Hertha Berlin and Atletico Madrid respectively on deadline day.
In total, Arsenal's spent £77.4million in the summer window, according to figures on Transfermarkt.
The total sum raised by Martinez's sale and Mavropanos' loan fee was £15.89million.
This means Arsenal's total net spend in the window was: £61.51million.
