Arsenal's Sead Kolasinac explains “funny” incident following “dangerous” car-jacking

Arsenal ace Sead Kolasinac says he is no longer “worried anymore” about living in London just four months after he was the victim of an attempted car-jacking.

Kolasinac and Arsenal team-mate Mesut Ozil were surrounded by two armed assailants on a scooter with one wielding a knife as they attempted to rob them.

CCTV footage showed the Bosnian defender confront the man with the knife in an attempt to scare him off.

Kolasinac is glad the “dangerous situation” did not result in anyone being hurt and he’s hoping he can put the incident behind him now.

"It was definitely a dangerous situation,” he told Goal .

“We are glad that nothing happened to us. That's the most important thing.

“And that's why it should be forgotten and it's over."

Following the horrific ordeal in late July, both players and their families took the necessary precautions to avoid being targeted again.

The duo were left out of the Arsenal squad in the immediate aftermath with security also deployed at their houses to keep watch.

Looking back now, Kolasinac admits having security follow him everywhere was “funny” and insists he has never thought about leaving the capital since.

"Yes, that was funny," he said of the security measuresl.

"You go shopping and somebody always watches. But that was discussed with the club as a mere precaution.

"My wife was by my side and, as was written in Germany, my family and I were not scared. We do not hide. We live our lives.

"It was important to me that my family was there. My wife, my dad, my dogs. But I did not have to talk to anyone about it to make me feel better.

"I'm not worried anymore. At no time did I have the idea of leaving London. My family and I are happy and we are happy that everything is back to normal."

Arsenal are in action against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night (8pm) with Ozil expected to start.
