Arsenal's Premier League opener will be first TV match of the season as broadcast times announced

Arsenal and Brentford will kick off the 2021/22 Premier League season on Friday night after August's broadcast schedule was confirmed.

The Gunners face Thomas Frank's newly promoted side at the Brentford Community Stadium for the first time.

It has been picked as one of the televised games of the opening weekend, with Manchester United's game against Leeds now moved to Saturday lunchtime and Norwich vs Liverpool for later on the same day.

Their games against Chelsea and Manchester City will also be televised, as Mikel Arteta's men face a tricky start to their league campaign.
