Arsenal’s pre-season plans coming together as Gunners eye Bissouma alternative

Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Thursday, June 3.

Pre-season plans confirmed for the Gunners

Whilst next season seems some way off at the current time, with the Euros having even not yet started, Arsenal have already started to put their pre-season plans in place.

It has been confirmed that the Gunners will face Inter Milan on July 28 in the Florida Cup. Premier League rivals Everton are also set to take part in the competition alongside Colombian outfit Millinarios.

football.london understands that an Emirates Cup is also set to be held this summer.

Arsenal eye Yves Bissouma alternative

Mikel Arteta will not only be assembling Arsenal’s pre-season schedule but also compiling their transfer targets ahead of the new campaign.

One name that the club have been constantly linked with is Brighton’s Yves Bissouma.

The North-Londoners might well have found a cheaper alternative in the form of Anderlecht’s Albert Sambi Lokonga though.

The Gunners are reportedly interested in the young Belgian midfielder and have been scouting him for nearly two seasons.

Sevilla set price for Kounde

Whilst Sambi Lokonga could potentially be on his way to North London, one man who might not be is Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.

The Frenchman has been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks but the Spanish outfit have now slapped a £56m to £60m price tag on the player according to Mundo Deportivo.

It remains to be seen if the Gunners pursue a move but it seems unlikely considering the club’s lack of European football next season.
