'Arsenal's is going' - Liverpool fans go nuts after equalling this Nottingham Forest record

Liverpool are now unbeaten in 42 games, equalling Nottingham Forest's record set back in 1978.

Brian Clough's side set the record as they conquered English and European football, winning a League title and European crowns.

Forest were battling Liverpool, who won five of their 18 League titles in the 1970s, with Brian Clough's side their sole crown in 1977-78.

Now Liverpool, who have a song that begins with 'we hate Nottingham Forest' such was the height of the rivalry between the two sides, are back on top.

Jurgen Klopp's team are at the summit of the Premier League and, after Manchester City's 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, sit 22 points clear with 13 games left.

Following the 4-0 defeat of Southampton at Anfield yesterday, they have equalled Forest's 42-match unbeaten run and have Arsenal's current 49-game record in their sights.

And their fans are, predictably, excited after setting another record with more potentially to follow.

Here's the pick of the reaction on social media...
