Arsenal's Hector Bellerin subject to interest from Italian club, says agent

Hector Bellerin’s agent has opened the door to a potential future move away from Arsenal for his client, admitting that the right-back holds an interest in Italy.

The defender recently returned from a long-term knee injury to an Arsenal side that is struggling for results and form.

Arsenal have won just two games from their last eight, with fans now calling for Unai Emery’s dismissal as manager.

Bellerin is one of the club’s key players, having joined as a 16-year-old, but his agent has revealed that an unnamed Italian club sought to lure the defender away from the Emirates.

“At the moment he is focused on the team’s commitments, comes from a bad injury and is returning to his levels,” Albert Botines told Sky Sports Italia

“He likes Italy, the interest of an Italian club has been there but I can’t reveal it.

He added: “He has a long contract and it won’t be easy to take him away from Arsenal. He is vice-captain, we will see how the season will go.”

With reports claiming Emery has lost a large section of the Arsenal dressing room, Alexandre Lacazette insisted there were no such issues in the Gunners camp.

“We’re working together every day on a constant basis to pick up the slack,” he said.

“The group definitely supports the coach and I’m sure the club does as well. ‘We’re a very tight group and we’re doing everything we can to improve.

“His best quality is that he’s really passionate. Every day at training he’s always really happy to be there and to work with us, to teach us and his staff things.”
