Arsenal's final five Premier League fixtures compared to Tottenham and Manchester United

An extraordinary week for Arsenal meant that Mikel Arteta's men reclaimed pole position in the race for Champions League football. Wins against traditionally 'big six' opposition Chelsea and Manchester United has seen the Gunners leapfrog north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the table with just five games left to play.

Arsenal currently sit on 60 points, whilst Spurs trail by two on 58. Meanwhile, Manchester United, who are now six points behind the Gunners, looks to be out of the race. The Red Devils have played a game more than the other two, and barring any major hiccups from either, United won't be playing in Europe's elite competition next season.

With that all in mind, football.london has compared the north Londoners' next six fixtures to those of Spurs and United.

West Ham (A) - Sunday, May 1

A trip to the London Stadium comes at the perfect time for Arsenal as it's between the first and second leg of West Ham's Europa League semi-finals against Frankfurt. They'll still have to be wary against David Moyes' side despite three losses in their last five games which has seen them drop to seventh in the table. The Gunners were able to beat the Hammers 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium back in December.

Leeds (H) - Sunday, May 8

The north Londoners' penultimate home game comes against Leeds United, who are in solid form - winning three of their last five Premier League outings. Jesse Marsch and co will be looking to avenge the 3-1 win Arsenal were able to record at Elland Road over the festive period.

Tottenham (A) - Thursday, May 12

The North London Derby has finally been rescheduled, and it is due to take place on a Thursday night in N17. It will be Antonio Conte's first game in charge against Arsenal as Spurs manager.

Mikel Arteta's men delivered a dominant display back in September, winning 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, and this will be a crucial game in the top-four race.

Newcastle United (A) - Monday, May 16

Arsenal's last away match of the season will take place at St. James' Park against Newcastle United - a team they have beaten eight times in a row across all competitions. The Magpies look safe from relegation after four wins in a row, something that could bode well for Arteta's team as the season draws to a close.

Everton (H) - Sunday, May 22

It could come down to the final game for both Arsenal and Everton. The Toffees are currently in a relegation scrap and find themselves trailing Burnley in 18th place - although they do have a game in hand as things stand. Still, Everton have won their last three matches against the Gunners, a record that the north Londoners will be desperate to put to an end in four weeks.
