Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has lifted the lid on how the club went into lockdown after manager Mikel Arteta tested positive for coronavirus.
The Gunners squad have all been placed in isolation after Arteta tested positive on Thursday night, just a day after shaking hands with his players at training.
Several other Premier League sides are also in lockdown after staff and players reported symptoms, whilst Arteta's positive test prompted action to immediately be suspended until April 3 at the earliest.
Martinez has now given an interview regarding the situation in his native Argentina, explaining they have been given dietary plans by the club but are not permitted to leave their houses.

"We found out about Arteta last night,” Martinez told TyC Sports .
“We had contact with him the day before and shook his hand normally, and the next day he tested positive.
“We are not allowed to leave the house; it is a government regulation.
“They gave us a diet from the club, but we are not allowed to leave the house.
“Only the supermarkets are open, but there’s no hygiene products. The schools and transport are slowly closing, and by Monday everything will be cancelled."

Arteta broke his silence after his positive test on Friday evening.
He called for calm in his message to fans despite contracting the COVID-19 coronavirus as he praised the Premier League for making the "right decisions" by halting the competition.
"Thanks for your words and support," he wrote on Twitter .
"Feeling better already. We're all facing a huge & unprecedented challenge. Everyone's health is all that matters right now. Protect each other by following the guidelines & we'll come through this together. Well done PL for making the right decisions."
