Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah makes Leeds United transfer decision amid Bristol City interest - reports

Leeds United are set to win the race to sign Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah on loan, according to the latest reports.

The 20-year-old Arsenal forward will leave the Emirates Stadium this summer on a temporary deal, as he looks to get some regular minutes under his belt.

Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe are all ahead of him in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.

Nketiah burst onto the scene in the 2017/18 season and has been in and around the first-team picture ever since.

He had been expected to make the move to Championship rivals Bristol City. The Robins had been hopeful about agreeing a deal with the Gunners youngster who has impressed in pre-season.

Ryan Kent had been the primary target with Leeds in talks to sign the Liverpool winger, but Nketiah has emerged as a last-ditch target.

And Leeds have now made their move for the Arsenal man and he has reportedly made the decision to move to Elland Road instead.

PA Sport claim that, barring any late u-turns he will replace Kemar Roofe at Leeds with Marcelo Bielsa prepared to offer him a key role in his side this season.
