Arsenal's Celtic shout-out as Kieran Tierney marks milestone

Arsenal have given Celtic a shout-out while commemorating two years to the day that Kieran Tierney made his first appearance for the London giants.

Tierney signed for the North London club in early August 2019, with Celtic receiving a record fee of £25m for his services.

However, the Muirhouse man was recovering from a hernia operation, and Gunners fans had to wait nearly two months to see their new signing in action.

Tierney's debut in a League Cup win over Nottingham Forest on September 24, 2019, delighted Arsenal fans, who realised the club had finally found a solution to a long-term problem position.

Arsenal fans were so taken by the Scotland international that some suggested in the summer that he should be given the captaincy.

And to mark the two-year anniversary, Arsenal said on social media: "Two years ago today... The Bhoy made his Arsenal debut."
