Arsenal's Carl Jenkinson becomes Nottingham Forest's latest summer signing

Carl Jenkinson is the latest summer signing for Championship club Nottingham Forest.

Head coach Sabri Lamouchi has moved quickly to provide cover for the right-back position, after Tendayi Darikwa suffered a serious knee injury in training last week.

Jenkinson has agreed a three-year contract at the City Ground for an undisclosed free, believed to be in the region of £2m from Premier League giants Arsenal, and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s visit to Leeds United at Elland Road.

Now 27, Jenkinson came through the ranks at Charlton Athletic, but moved to the Emirates Stadium in 2011.

During his eight years with the Gunners, Jenkinson made 70 appearances, which included performing in the Champions and Europa League, and he's also represented England at youth level.
