Bukayo Saka is the most-backed player to be included in England's Euro 2020 squad, following a string of impressive performances for Arsenal.
Despite having only made 15 appearances this season, another stand out game for the Gunners in their 4-0 win over Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon has seen a flurry of bets placed on Saka making the squad.
In the last 24 hours, 15% of all bets on all of the players in the market have backed the 18-year-old, making him the most punted.
Consequently, bookies have cut odds from 66/1 into as short as 18/1 that he makes the plane this summer.
Elsewhere, competition among fullbacks and wingbacks currently have Ben Chilwell as the clear favourite to be included in the 23-man squad at 1/9.
Newcastle’s Danny Rose is 7/4 to be included, and Fabian Delph, who has been known to fill in at left-back, is 3/1.
Rounding off the potential competition is Manchester United’s Luke Shaw, who is 7/2 to be called up by Gareth Southgate.
WhoScored.com revealed exclusively to Oddschecker that no player registered more assists than Saka (4) in the group stages of the Europa League this season, while his WhoScored rating (8.06) was the third best.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson said: "England’s strength and depth at left wing-back is not exactly sparkling, with Ben Chilwell looking like the only sure thing to make the squad.
"WhoScored.com revealed exclusively to Oddschecker that Saka’s performance against Newcastle was his best rated in a Premier League match this season (8.06).
"Hitting form like that in the lead up to the Euros will certainly provide Gareth Southgate with food for thought - and his price could well shorten further with more impressive performances.
Saka's impressive form since breaking into the Arsenal first team has reportedly alerted a host of clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
And with the England youth international only having 18-months remaining on his £3,000-a-week deal in north London, talks will have to get underway very soon to secure his future.
According to The Athletic, Arsenal's director of football operations Huss Fahmy has made it a priority, with more discussions planned this week.
