Arsenal's Bukayo Saka opens up on England and Nigeria international call-up dilemma

Arsenal's teenage sensation Bukayo Saka is the most-backed player to be included in England's UEFA Euro 2020 squad, following a string of fine performances.

The 18-year-old started the Gunners' 4-0 Premier League victory over Newcastle United yesterday and bagged himself an assist.

Saka teed-up Nicolas Pepe for the game's second goal, after delivering a fine piece of skill to get beyond Magpies right-back Valentino Lozaro.

His latest performance for Mikel Arteta's team has led to the left-sided player to becoming the most-backed player to secure a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad this summer, with 15% of all bets on all of the players in the market being placed on him in the past 24 hours.

However, Saka is yet to decide on who to play for at international level.

The Gunners academy graduate was born in London but to Nigerian parents, meaning he is eligible to play for either England or Nigeria.

So far in his young career, Saka has only played for England, representing The Three Lions at youth level.

Speaking back in December to BBC Sport, Saka confirmed that, at that time, he had not received any offers from England or Nigeria to be a part of the senior squad.

"I am always thinking about it but I haven't made a decision yet," he said. "No-one has been in touch but when I make a decision you will find out."

Since making that statement, Saka has been more and more involved for the Gunners under Arteta, so far making 10 appearances under the former Everton midfielder.
