Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey and the Leicester City star who's tipped to be his ideal replacement

The reality of Aaron Ramsey's Arsenal departure this something few around north London can fathom, and what happens next is even more terrifying.

The Welsh wonder has proven himself to be one of the Gunners' most reliable performers over a number of seasons, and the prospect of doing without a player of his ilk is terrifying at best.

That's exactly why it's crucial that Unai Emery's side have a replacement lined up for the moment that Ramsey completes his move to Juventus.

Several names have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but one man who is thought to be among the favourites is James Maddison.

The former Norwich City man has been a revelation since moving to Leicester City, and among those singing his praises is Tony Cascarino who says that Maddison could be the perfect signing.

Writing in The Times , Cascarino said: "I look at Maddison and I think, ‘Arsenal is your team.

"Maddison should be the man to replace Aaron Ramsey.

"You have to be very gifted to do that and nine out of ten gifted players do not want to work without the ball. Maddison’s work-rate is good and getting better.
