Arsenal have confirmed squad numbers for new signings Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares.
Eager for defensive reinforcements, the Gunners moved to bring in Flamengo centre-back Mari on Wednesday on an initial loan deal that can be made into a permanent transfer in the summer.
Southampton full-back Cedric will also spend the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign at Emirates Stadium after agreeing a move on deadline day.
Arsenal have paid a fee of around £1million to loan the Portugal international, who is out of contract at St Mary's in the summer and will hope to earn a full-time switch to north London.
As accidentally confirmed on Arsenal's official website on Thursday, Mari will wear no22 at Arsenal.
That shirt previously belonged to the likes of Gael Clichy, Francis Coquelin, Yaya Sanogo and Jeff Reine-Adelaide and had been left vacant since the departure of Denis Suarez at the end of last season.
Cedric, meanwhile, takes the no17 that previously belonged to Alex Iwobi, who joined Everton last summer.
Alexis Sanchez, Nacho Monreal, Alex Song, current technical director Edu and Emmanuel Petit are among the other Arsenal players to have worn that particular number.
