Arsenal receive Kieran Tierney injury boost as four players ruled out of Leicester City clash

Arsenal have received an injury boost in the form of Kieran Tierney.

The Scottish full-back is on his way back following a groin injury which saw him miss out on Saturday's win over West Ham.

The club confirmed Tierney was suffering from tightness in his left groin, but he is aiming to resume full training later this week ahead of Monday's clash with reigning Premier League champions Liverpool.

Though, it's not all good news for the Gunners. Along with Tierney, Cedric Soares has been ruled out of Wednesday night's Carabao Cup clash with Leicester City.

Mikel Arteta: Nketiah is good enough to start

That leaves Mikel Arteta without two of his full-backs for the meeting with the Foxes.

Cedric has been ruled out as a 'precaution' due to a 'tight calf'.

Elsewhere, Sokratis Papastathopoulos is also out, also suffering from a calf injury, and he is set to join Tierney in resuming full training this week.

And Emile Smith Rowe is out for at least 10 days after suffering an injury to his right shoulder during training.

Smith Rowe is now out of his protective sling and he is 'aiming to return to full training within the next 10 days', according to the club.
