Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent months, is also being tracked by AC Milan and RB Leipzig ahead of the January transfer window.
The 20-year-old has been a revelation for the Austrian outfit this season, having created five goals in just six league appearances. Arsenal were touted as a possible destination for the player during the summer transfer window, but ultimately any move failed to materialise.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Gunners may face a battle for his signature should they decide to bid in January with Milan and RB Leipzig said to be harbouring serious interest.
The Serie A giants have reportedly made previous offers for Szoboszlai's services which were turned down by Salzburg, who have now slapped a €25 million (£22.56m) price tag on their star man.
Meanwhile, Leipzig are a sister club of the Austrian side due to their common ownership by Red Bull, and may be the front runners to capture his signature.
Dayot Upamecano and Naby Keita are just two of the players to make the switch from Austria to Germany in this way, with both players going on to enjoy successful careers to date. Arsenal are said to be considering Szoboszlai as a cheaper alternative to summer target Houssem Aouar.
The French playmaker was expected to join the North London club over the summer but instead stayed at Lyon, with Arsenal eventually securing a move for Thomas Partey, another prime target, on deadline day.
Mikel Arteta's side continue their Europa League campaign on Thursday night as they welcome Molde to the Emirates Stadium for their crunch Group B clash.
Both sides are currently on six points but Arsenal sit atop the group on goal difference.
