Arsenal quartet join Spurs and Manchester United stars in PFA anti-racism #Enough campaign

Arsenal quartet Aaron Ramsey, Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Reiss Nelson have all joined a PFA social media campaign to combat racism in football.

A 24-hour social media boycott from the Professional Footballers’ Association began at 9am on Good Friday and will continue until Saturday morning, as stars of football respond to what has been a difficult season for the sport.

A number of high-profile incidents have occurred this season in British football, including Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having a banana thrown at him by a Tottenham Hotspur fan during the north London derby at the Emirates Stadium.

While videos of apparent racist abuse to Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly appeared on social media after last week’s 2-0 victory.

Ramsey, Bellerin and Holding have all given their support for the campaign, posting a message on Twitter and changing their profile pictures to the campaign’s image of a red screen with #enough in white letters.

“We are making a stand against racist abuse. We recognise that our platforms come with responsibility and so we are using our voice to stand against racist abuse,” Ramsey posted, with the same message issued by Holding.

“Together, we are calling on social media platforms and footballing bodies to do more!”

Ramsey’s statement was echoed by Bellerin, who wrote: “It’s time for the fans, players and also the governing bodies to put a stop to this and take action to make this game equal for everyone.

"We’ve had #enough.”

Nelson - on loan at Hoffenheim this season - posted the image above on his official Instagram page and said: "We are making a stand against racist abuse.

"We recognise that our platforms come with responsibility, and so we are using our voice to stand against racist abuse.
