Arsenal provide Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe fitness updates ahead of Sheffield United match

Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe both face late fitness tests ahead of Arsenal's Premier League match against Sheffield United on Sunday.

Several first team stars have gone down with injuries in recent days, with the likes of Kieran Tierney and David Luiz ruled out for the next few weeks with knee injuries.

Odegaard, 22, missed the 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague on Thursday with an ankle injury and when asked about the Norwegian's chances of featuring in Prague, manager Mikel Arteta conceded:

"I don't know, he wasn’t able to play today and he will be out, I think, for the next game or two. But we don’t know yet."

Smith Rowe sustained a hip injury whilst on international duty with England Under-21s and he is also in a race against time to be passed fit for Sunday's game at Bramall Lane.

Arsenal did confirm that defender Calum Chambers is now back in full training and available for selection, after missing Thursday's match against Slavia Prague due to a slight knock.

Luiz, 33, underwent a minor procedure on his knee last weekend and will be available for selection in the coming weeks.

Tierney sustained ligament damage to his left knee during last weekend's match against Liverpool, but did not require surgery and is expected back in training within four to six weeks.
