Arsenal's spot in the Europa League knockout stage may not be secured without question but that will not stop Freddie Ljungberg from fielding a much-changing side to take on Standard Liege in the final group game.
It would take defeat by a margin greater than four goals to send the Gunners out and even then that would require Eintracht Frankfurt to win their home game. Perhaps then it is no surprise that Ljungberg has indicated he is ready to rotate his team with one eye on Sunday's game against Manchester City.
"We've brought enough, we've brought a lot of firepower here and we have some younger players that have as well played earlier in the group stages," Ljungberg said.
"It's not just now, they've been playing the whole time so it's a big game and we're here to get a good result and we have a lot of respect for the opponent."
Arsenal's frontline is particularly ripe for rotation with Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson all eager to prove their worth to an interim head coach who is acutely aware of the quality of his young prospects. Alexandre Lacazette is expected to captain the Gunners and lead the line though Gabriel Martinelli has also made the trip to Belgium.
The likes of James Olayinka, Robbie Burton and Zech Medley have also travelled and the latter could fill in at left-back with Kieran Tierney out for three months with a shoulder injury. It is understood Sead Kolasinac has not travelled with the squad.
Meanwhile Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to fill in at right-back. He and Calum Chambers could be battling for the role on Sunday if Hector Bellerin fails to recover from a hamstring injury in time.
