Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has asked the Premier League for more clarity regarding postponements.
The Gunners' match against Leeds United on Saturday is one of just two games that are still going ahead following the postponement of four other matches.
Arteta was asked ahead of the game whether his squad had come back with negative tests for COVID, with Arsenal imposting stricter measures at their London Colney training ground in order to prevent an outbreak.
“Yes but this is changing every day. That’s the uncertainty that we all have. Hopefully we don’t have any cases but we have to wait and see,” said the Arsenal boss.
“We are good we are waiting for more tests which we’ll have this afternoon. This is the only thing we can do, wait and see.
“Health wise I hope we’re doing everything we can to protect everybody. The vaccine protocols are in place. I’m sure with everything we are doing we can do our best to maintain everybody healthy.”
With the game set to go ahead, Arteta is expected to field a similar team to the one which beat West Ham earlier in the week.
Thomas Partey will likely partner Granit Xhaka in midfield, while Emile Smith Rowe could return to the team in place of Gabriel Martinelli.
Alexandre Lacazette will once again captain the Arsenal team with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang currently unavailable for selection.
Predicted Arsenal XI: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney, Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Saka, Lacazette (c).
