Arsenal poised to make decision amid Nottingham Forest interest with four offers received

Arsenal are said to have received four loan offers for striker Eddie Nketiah and are hopeful to make a decision on his final destination within the next 48 hours.

Nottingham Forest , Bristol City, Derby County, Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich have all been amongst the clubs linked with the former Leeds United loan star.

Sabri Lamouchi remains keen to bring a striker to the City Ground to bolster his attacking option for what looks set to be a push towards the automatic promotion places.

On Friday it was reported that the Reds could see their fight for Nketiah fall futile to the power of a number of Premier League bids - but a report by Bristol Live reveals that Mikel Arteta's side are still mulling over their options.

Aston Villa saw £22m striker Wesley Moraes ruled out for the rest of the season, making their need for a striker a desperate one.

The Canaries, meanwhile, are relying on a miraculous turnaround during the second half of the campaign to steer clear of relegation back to the Championship.

During the first half of the season, Nketiah endured a sorry loan spell with second-tier title chasers Leeds United, scoring five but seeing his game time limited to that of brief cameos and cup appearances.

Speaking on Thursday,  Arsenal boss Arteta confirmed the striker would be leaving  in the coming days.

“I always suggest when you go on loan, you speak to the manager and make sure he really wants you," Arteta explained when discussing how he will decide where to send both Nketiah,  Tyreece John-Jules  and Emile Smith Rowe.

"He has to tell you exactly what he’s expecting from you. If he convinces you that it’s the right move for you, you have to go and prove yourself.

"So I’m not too concerned whether it’s Premier League or Championship, it’s more the overall fit and the communication between the clubs that is clear what we are trying for that player to develop.

"We want the player to be comfortable and that he can see the path is the right one.”
