Arsenal players 'growing frustrated by Unai Emery's repetitive training methods'

Arsenal's players are reportedly growing frustrated by the repetitive training methods of boss Unai Emery.

The Gunners blew a 2-0 lead at winless Watford on Sunday to take just a point from Vicarage Road leaving them seventh in the Premier League after five matches.

Arsenal have picked up only two victories and are already seven points off the title pace set by table-topping Liverpool .

Emery's tactics came under close scrutiny after the Hornets stalemate with his side conceding 31 shots in the match.

And, according to The Athletic, his processes on the training ground have left some players scratching their heads.

Arsenal are desperate to break back into the Premier League top four in order to bring Champions League football back to the Emirates.

It appeared for much of last season they would secure that feat, but a stuttering end to the campaign saw them finish fifth, a point away from Europe's top table.

Defeat in the Europa League final against Chelsea in Baku condemned Arsenal to a second successive season in the competition.

They play last year's semi-finalists Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday evening in Germany to kick off this year's campaign, before hosting Aston Villa in north London on Sunday afternoon.
