Arsenal player wages revealed - with Mesut Ozil's mammoth salary leading the way

Arsenal are adjusting to life after the reign of Arsene Wenger and have moulded their squad into a competitive outfit who find themselves challenging for a top four spot.

New boss Unai Emery has stamped his own authority on the team by luring fresh faces such as Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi to north-London, who have bolstered the Gunners' midfield.

During the past three seasons, the club's wage bill has steadily increased and rose from £166 million to £195 million between 2014-2017.

An influx of money from television deals has allowed English clubs to splash the cash, with Arsenal handing out huge contracts to some of their biggest stars.

This is evident in the fact that Mesut Ozil receives a whopping £300,000-a-week, making him the highest earner in the club's history, while Granit Xhaka put pen to paper on a new deal until 2023.
