Arsenal player ratings vs Watford as Partey and Tierney impress while Azeez scores stunner

Runar Alex Runarsson: Was due to be making his move to Altayspor this week but after that collapsed the Iceland international found himself keeping goal for Arsenal again. Hardly anything to do but good to get some minutes under his belt. 6.

Hector Bellerin: Got forward nicely and took up the infield positions we expect from right backs in an Arteta side. Could this be his last display in an Arsenal shirt? 6.

Rob Holding: Loud and vocal as ever at the back commanding the back four. Solid in the air and some nice moments in possession. A wide ball to Nicolas Pepe was the highlight. 6.

Pablo Mari: Was taken off early in the second half but continued his decent form from the first half. Solid on the ball and a leader as always. 6.

Kieran Tierney: Got forward well down the left and was a consistent threat, but unlike Tavares in the first half showed the urgency to get back and recover his position defensively. A thumping right footed finish from inside the six yard box was symptomatic of what we've come to expect from the Scottish international. 8.

Thomas Partey: Another assured appearance from the Ghanaian who is building towards what promises to be a good season. Always available to receive the ball and smart in possession 8.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: Continued his impressive performance in the first half during a good fifteen minutes in the second. Some nice moments showing his dribbling ability. What a complete midfielder the Belgian looks. 7.

Nicolas Pepe: Some nice moments on the right wing, but most of his best stuff came as the Ivorian drifted infield into the box. Looks as dangerous a goal threat as ever. 7.

Willian: For someone playing number 10 spent an awful lot of time on the right wing. Similar story to the first half decent moments on the ball but not committed enough on it. 6.

Eddie Nketiah: Didn't do much before coming off early in the second half but was impressive enough in the first. 6.

Alexandre Lacazette: A relatively low-key start to the second half but improved after coolly slotting away a penalty. A chipped finish deserved a second goal but was unlucky to come back out off the post. 7.

Substitutes -

Miguel Azeez: Showed the confidence to take on a strike from the edge of the box with his weaker foot and had the ability to back it up. An excellent finish to cap a really impressive first performance of pre-season. 7.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles: A nice run into the box for the penalty showed what he's capable of on the ball. Not quite enough in central midfield though to show he's the long term answer in the position. 6.

Emile Smith Rowe: Some nice glimpses of the quick feet he possesses after coming on in the second half. A decent display after coming on. 6.

Sead Kolasinac: Played out of position as a centre back but hardly was tested again. Looks as though he will be leaving the Emirates despite featuring regularly in pre-season. 6.
