Arsenal player ratings vs Leicester City as Lacazette disappoints again

Bernd Leno: Didn't have too much to do other than Vardy's goal which he couldn't do much about - 6

Hector Bellerin: Always available as an attacking outlet and unlucky not to score with a volley in the second half. With four assists in seven games, the Spaniard is playing with more confidence and looks much more solid defensively too - 6

David Luiz: Looked much better defensively and made an important interception in the first half. Came off with an injury in the second half and will be hoping that it's not too serious - 6

Gabriel: Confident in possession, reads the play well but needs an experienced, composed partner next to him - 6

Kieran Tierney: Always positive and fed Lacazette with a great effort in the first half. Looked tired in the latter stages and was brought off - 6

Granit Xhaka: His lack of pace saw gaps appear in the Arsenal defence as Arteta moved him to left-back. A difficult night for the Swiss international but always - 6

Thomas Partey: Progressive passing in the first half but his influence fizzled out in the second - 6

Dani Ceballos: Arteta bellowed instructions at the Spaniard through the game, telling him to 'go high' and encouraging him to press Leicester. He wasn't able to influence the match and didn't get on the ball enough to cause problems in the final third - 6

Bukayo Saka: Constantly fouled throughout the match and hobbled off with an injury in the second half. Showed his usual attacking intent and his dribbling caused Leicester problems - 7

Alexandre Lacazette: His goal which was ruled out for offside would have meant four goals in six games for the Frenchman. Despite that, it was another poor performance from the Frenchman who missed a sitter from five yards out - 5

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Struggled throughout the game. Headed effort over the bar and moved from the left wing to the right in the second half but didn't manage to cause Leicester any problems - 6

Substitutes

Shkodran Mustafi: Passed the ball out of play as soon as he came on. Has only just returned from injury and looked rusty - 5

Nicolas Pepe: Showed a glimpse of his excellent ball control moments after coming on but didn't manage to influence the game at all - 5

Eddie Nketiah: Not on long enough to influence the game.
