Arsenal player ratings vs Everton as Bukayo Saka stars, Martinelli superb and Zinchenko class

Aaron Ramsdale: Hardly had anything to do all night but made a smart save to thwart Dwight McNeill when called upon in the second half. 6.

Ben White: Like the rest of the Arsenal backline, not much to do on the night. Hardly gave the ball away game. A really easy night for him. 6.

William Saliba: Neal Maupay hardly had a sniff all night and the Frenchman was a part of that. Again hardly had anything to do but was composed when called upon. 6.

Gabriel: An excellent tackle to thwart Neal Maupay in the first half when the scores were 0-0. Again looks to be the leader in this Arsenal back line. 7.

Oleksandr Zinchenko: His passing had been a little off in the first half, but his ball to Bukayo Saka broke the game open for Arsenal. After that he was excellent, unpicking the Everton defence at will. Superb ball to Nketiah in the build up to Martinelli's second too. 9.

Jorginho: In an opening 40 mins where Arsenal struggled to break Everton down he was one of the players trying hardest to break the lock. Didn't quite work out as some of his passes were a little overcooked. 6.

Granit Xhaka: A solid game from the Swiss who was involved much more offensively than he has been recently. Some nice balls to progress Arsenal up the pitch that may not necessarily have caught the eye. 7.

Martin Odegaard: Struggled breaking Everton down early but once they were open he came into his own. A well taken goal and some superb flicks in the midfield. 7.

Bukayo Saka: There's an alternate universe where Arsenal don't break Everton down in the first half and go on to struggle, but Bukayo Saka made sure that didn't happen. How many times has he been a difference maker for the Gunners this year? 9.

Leandro Trossard: Another really good display from the Belgian. Provided a lovely assist for the third and caused all manner of problems with his close control and sharp movement. Linked really well with Martinelli too. 8.

Gabriel Martinelli: People were doubting the Brazilian but he's now on a run of four goals in three matches. Looks so much better interchanging with Trossard and did a great job occupying the centre forward position for the most part. 9.

SUBSTITUTES -

Thomas Partey: Kept the game ticking over after coming on at half time. Some nice passes forward to unlock the Everton backline, with a lob to Nketiah the highlight. 7.

Eddie Nketiah: With Everton stretch the game was primed for an Nketiah cameo and he delivered. A lovely assist for Martinelli's second and could have had a goal himself. 7.

Fabio Vieira: Some nice passes after coming on. Looks to be a player who's growing in confidence and with how often he's coming on at the moment seems to be slowly rising up the pecking order. 7.

Emile Smith Rowe: A huge roar from the home fans to greet his return to the Emirates pitch. Could have a goal too but was crowded out quickly. 6.

Kieran Tierney: Arteta had his hands on his heads as he overran the ball on one occasion. Great to see him back on the pitch but with how Zinchenko's playing, can't see him starting a league match any time soon. 6.
