Arsenal player ratings vs Chelsea as Laca, Xhaka and Saka shine, Smith Rowe superb

Leno: Good distribution early on. Will be frustrated not to have kept a clean sheet after Arsenal dominated the game. 7.

Bellerin: Some excellent running down the right-hand side. Led his team well. 7.

Holding: Important tackle on Werner in the first half. Always vocal at the back and deserves credit for a solid performance at the back. 7.

Mari: Made a professional foul on Kovacic in the first half and a good tackle on Abraham in the box. Came into the team and did a solid job defensively. 7.

Tierney: Won the penalty and always looked bright down the left. A constant threat and impressive defensively too. 7.

Elneny: Slack with his passing but almost scored in the second half. Struggled at times but will be happy with the win. 6.

Xhaka: A perfect free-kick. Controlled the midfield and his passing was a constant thorn in Chelsea's side. 8.

Smith Rowe: Won the most fouls in the first half. Bright, energetic and made an assist in his first league start of the season. 8.

Saka: Clever one-twos with Laca and Smith Rowe. Scored an absolutely brilliant goal and should be proud of another match-winning performance. 8.

Martinelli: His enthusiasm is infectious. Always running, always direct and exciting to watch. 8.

Laca: Great penalty. Two goals in two games. One of the best players on the pitch. 8.

Subs:

Pepe: Unable to influence the game in the short time he was on.

Mustafi: Only on for a couple of minutes.

Willock: Had little input when he came on.
